Want to Publish, Market and Promote your book?
At the NZ Self Publishing Group we are not just Publishers we are book Marketing and Promotion Specialists.
There are plenty of companies that can publish books, but the real success to any book is in its Promotion and Marketing.
Even the most brilliant book that has had no exposure to buyers and has not been promoted the correct way will never reach the success it deserves.
Marketing and Promotion is the king of the publishing industry and as long as a book has been published to suit today’s market and to international publishing standard, plus promoted correctly, it can be a success. The Internet has now levelled the field for authors in many ways especially in getting noticed.
For over 7 years we have specialised in book marketing and promotion. We are not bound to New Zealand only, we promote books in Australian and internationally.
We regularly attend the biggest International Book Fairs every year to promote authors books to the world (your book could be one of these).
The book fairs we attend regularly are London Book Fair in April each year, New York (BEA) May, Beijing book fair August and Frankfurt book fair in October.
As Book Marketing and Promotions Specialists, we can help you to get your book out in front of industry people and find the right market for it.
We also specialise in Internet marketing and promotion, as the Internet is one of the most important places to sell books.
Nowadays you have to have multiple markets, not just getting your book into a shop; this is only one small piece of the larger pie.
We can even show you how to get hundreds of people selling your book all over the Internet.
This is called affiliate marketing and we are very familiar with this method of marketing, most other publishers are not.
We can help you in all aspects for book publishing, marketing and promotions, just send us an email or a request and find out what we can do for you. firstname.lastname@example.org
At the New Zealand Self Publishing Group
we are not vanity Publishers we are Cooperative Self Publishers.
This means unlike other so called self publishing companies, that try to keep your copyright, we give you 100% copyright to your book, not only your written words: we give you all high resolution files of the cover design, the interior layout and all fonts used in the construction of the book. You paid for them, so you own them. This also means you do not have to buy over priced copies of your book from the vanity publisher, you are free to print anywhere at the best price you can get.
If you decide to deal with an overseas Vanity publisher because they tell you they can print your book for $4? Ask them what the postage is on the books, you will find the book will cost you $14 to $20 for a book once the postage is added. You cannot make a profit buying a book at $20 as you have to remain competitive with the shops selling price for a similar book, on-line and off-line.
A note of Caution: If any vanity company asks you to pay upfront for their publishing services: be very aware. Once you pay you are at their mercy? We get emails all the time from author’s who have lost their money or got a book that is well under standard. We never charge author’s full costs before they are happy with the book: nor should any other company.
So how does it work with us?
We offer 3 kinds of publishing programs.
Self Publishing (author gets 100% copyright, author contribution paid for publishing and promotion, 70% net profit to author on all sales). Click for more information.
Co-Publishing (author pays for production and we do all the promotion and sales, split profit 50%- 50% net). Click for more information.
Contract based publishing (author only chips in for proofreading, and to get a review of book to see if it is marketable, author receives an advance and 10%net royalties, we do all the rest). Click for more information.
At NZ Self Publishing Group we are dedicated to putting NZ authors on the map again. Most of the big publishing houses nowadays are really not that interested in unknown authors. In fact they would rather publish a second rate book by a known author than a fantastic book by an unknown author.
Why you may ask? Well it is simple.
The big publishing houses are reducing costs and consolidating their publishing to a global production. This means they are publishing from a centralised position, instead of a country to country basis like in the past.
They also know that a known author has a following and they will sell X amount of books just on the authors name, this can’t be said for the unknown author.
